The world is just so...big. I've never felt that fact like this before...makes my skin crawl all over, under and inside out.
I open a box, and I get two. Open them both and I get an orb in each. The orbs project a million tiny boxes and I get entire universes.
...and then I realise I've only looked at one side of the original box.
Wow.
Just...wow.

"Some people would jump on a burning bandwagon'.
"Someone else's success is not your failure."
You aren't actually competing with anyone but yourself. Faulkner had a line for that, "Don't bother just to be better than your contemporaries or predecessors. Try to be better than yourself."
If you keep comparing yourselves to others, you'll just become a defeatist. For a while, forget about other people, and remember that you don't create art purely to be better than someone else, but because some force inside you compels you to be creative.

Indeed. Though a quote that lingered in my mind before goes something like "You don't have to be the perfect, just better than everyone else."
I was talking more or less about the depths of our mind more than competing with people though.

I'm glad to see someone else that understands art isn't made for just getting attention!
